Tippy toes

This is a post about baby shoes. Be warned.

Back when my daughter first put foot to pavement, she wore Robeez, like most of the other kids. Which are fine.

But now I see that See Kai Run has a new line called Smaller. These are soft-soled, like Robeez, and hella cute.

Sweet

I'm a pretty big fan of the colored metallic shoe thing -- as you may remember.

These look pretty amazing (thanks for the tip, S). I haven't seen them in person, though, so until I do I won't actually recommend them. (By the way, Sweet Shoes, you should hit up the Bay Area so I can see you.)

But they are pretty ridiculously nice.

Shoe-vog

It's sort of cheating to cover Fluevog on this blog. At least 50% of every collection is highly covetable -- and though unaffordable in my present situation, not truly *that* expensive.

The pitter patter of little zids

These shoes are one of those things...I don't actually approve of spending this much on shoes that don't even have hard soles. I mean, a kid is going to run these into the ground. And I think Zid Zid has great stuff, but it's too expensive (you know, maybe appropriately so, but some people have less money than other people...).

That being said, I did buy them -- in silver.

Dance-y

I really like this Clarks shoe. It seems like a comfy, everyday, lasting (!) ballet flat.

It's been raining recently around here, and I realize that someone in my household needs rain boots.

Holiday catalogs, part 3

J. Jill...is that supposed to be someone's name? Janie Julia Juniper Jessica Jill? The catalog is sort of intermittently interesting. I like that they experiment, but sometimes it gets really weird. I know I'm not really in their demographic, but still...

However. However! They have great shoes.

This velvet bag is pretty nice. Not very Jill-y, and it's on sale.

Holiday catalogs, part 1

These are some things I like at Title Nine -- it's a sporty catalog and looking at it makes me feel like a couch potato, even though it is all models pretending to be active. But still, there are things I like a lot.

Nice comfort shoes.

This jacket is cute enough to make me break my edict against against fluffy/shiny/ski-ish.

The bag is by a company called Haiku. I've seen them around in real shops, too.

Run, don't walk

I have to say, See Kai Run shoes really get me coveting. It's true that they don't last too long, so if you have a kid that really is hard on his or her shoes, they're not perfect. But they are really soft and flexible.

Oh, and cute. (The most important part, of course.)
