The SF one is actually BART, not MUNI. (I mean it's the cross-bay light rail commuter system, not the bus/tram system of the city.) It's a little misleading. Still beautiful, though.

One hand in my Poketo

I had a bag from Poketo that I loved. (Still love. Unfortunately a toddler dragging it down the sidewalk didn't really make it any better.)

But I digress from my main point, which is that Poketo has fun stuff.

From Everything is OK, a new piece of irony in the form of a collectible plate. Which, actually, would be really fun to serve cake on. Collect all one!

Threadmore

Threadless has come out with a fancy line of fanciness. The important bit being that the girl shirts have some shape. Which is what has stopped me clicking "buy" on about a thousand Threadless designs before, so good for them.

This is Radiolab

I am a huge Radiolab fan. I also like great neato prints.

So I am very bummed that I missed out on this sale. (And, Jez Burrows, a whole new set coming next year doesn't really make up for not getting these!)

Plastique

The emporium of the reliably covetable known as Veer is selling the Diana plastic camera.


It makes lovely/horrible photos - photoethnography.com says you should tape it up with gaffer's tape!

Veer's selling a remake, but look how pretty the pictures are.

A new, major covet - the work of Frank Chimero, which I saw on bangs, a beard and ballyhoo.

Upper(nut)case

Yes, well, of course I like this. I liked it the moment I saw the cover. Then I liked it when I read the copy on their website, below the photo (text that - almost troublingly - seems to be written as if it were targeted at me, which probably means I am supremely unoriginal. Or it's my Canadian genes.).



I didn't have to see the kind of things they like to know...well...I'd like them, too. But look at them anyway. And they have some pretty books, including one with a great theme - art by artists all named Jennifer. I love a good gimmick.

Rad Fenwick

Remember Ray Fenwick? I keep talking and (talking and talking and talking) about him because he's fantastic and in thirty years I'm going to be boring people at his retrospective at sfmoma by telling them that I always knew his was a genius, always knew it!

Well, I admit I'm not the only one who knows. Tiny Showcase does too, and they've restocked a shirt they carry with a great Ray Fenwick design.


And don't forget to sign up for the regular Tiny Showcase stuff - it's a brilliant idea and has a devoted following that's totally warranted.

wrong DAY

Okay, I don't know how I could have missed Richard Tipping. He is clearly madly wonderful.

I saw these signs at MoMA, when I was looking for the bag I just mentioned in the previous post.

I love them. Covet them. (Especially "Wrong Day," which is just so fantastic on so many levels.)

Thing one, thing two

I keep boosting Objectified, and I haven't even seen it. (I planned to go to the screening in SF but there are some babysitting issues. Damn kid, interfering with my glamorous lifestyle!) But this is a grand poster, certainly worth the twenty bucks.

I like the little photos on the Etsy site of feaverish. Some of these would be great for art in a kid's room.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Jaime Hayón's green chicken before, but I can't remember where. This time Anna sent it to me.

Of course, it would fall right over. But it's gorgeous anyway.

Home town

I first saw this hanging in the window at Park Life. Of course, I love it. It combines a bunch of things I like -- words, maps, geeky information art...



They're by Ork Posters. I say "they" because there are a bunch of them, although clearly Obama should set up a new agency just to expand this program into every city with more than 300,000 people. Right?

(I'm wondering, though, whether there were fights about neighborhood boundaries and names. You know how people get...)
