This is not actually the cassette tape necklace I want to blog, but it's similar. I saw this young woman wearing a cassette charm necklace (it also had a tiny pink heart). I told her I liked it and she said that she was into old school music. And I nodded and walked away and then I realized that she was too young to ever have even owned tapes. And I felt old.

Groove is on your plate, baby
Look at the brilliance of Grooveware. I am stunned.
The whole site is covetable, really. I love the time table, too.

Square chair
I like this chair a lot. Pink and brown for me, or maybe turquoise and brown.
(It's for kids. Via Cool Mom Picks.)

Shoe me
Neat parrot print on these Keds, by Eleanor Grosch. And I like the little strappies. But even better would be her puffin logo. I love puffins.

Trouze
I need a new pair of pants, but everything is all gaucho or wide-leg, or silly made up J.Crew/Banana Republic fits. I like wide-leg, but they aren't for me. I'm sure you're all sick of low-ride bootleg, but I'm sorry, those pants were created for me and I love them. (I thought about going skinny, but two things stop me. One, I think they might be the thing that in ten years you are embarrassed to have worn. Two, they look dorky with flats.)

Shopping in the rain
You may have noticed that I'm not averse to Ye Olde Big Boxxe or Ye Olde Cheape Shoppe. Truth to tell, I do believe they (a) stifle creative expression and (b) get us addicted to cheap, third-world-produced (often but not always a bad thing) products and (c) make shopping areas all the same.
However, I have no money and I like clothes. Until I am famous enough to be given free samples from all the wonderful indie boutiques and designers, I will wear this. (Well, actually, I won't, because I already have a rain coat. But, you know, I would.)

If Covetable Ran a Design Challenge...
This would be it.
OK, so here's the thing. I use a Brita water filter pitcher. And it's hideous. They've become more streamlined in recent years, but still.
What I want is a gorgeous glass pitcher that holds a Brita filter. Shouldn't be so hard to do. You'd just have to make sure it held that plastic insert part that the water goes into first. Come on, design community... Come on Brita people. Do something.
Logos I Like
Isn't this a great logo? The way the lines of the H intersect the circle. Great.
(The Hoover was invented by someone named Spangler, by the way. Hoover just sold the thing.)

Through the eye of a needle
Look at this fantastic needle case! I saw it on the Craft Magazine blog, and it's by The Small Object.
